HOW TO OPT OUT OF STREET VIEW

Every parent should take the time to look up their address, their child’s school, bus stop, etc. to determine whether their child’s image is available on Google’s Street View program. Click here for step-by-step instructions to find, report, and request removal of images on Street View.

Step 1: Find the image
Visit www.maps.google.com
Type in your home address
Click on “Search Maps”
Click on “Street View”
Click on Photo on your address
Using the white arrows, scroll down the street to see whether your house is available

Click on “Street View Help” in the top corner of the image
Click on “Report Inappropriate Image”
Complete the online form and submit

Step 3: Check back to verify removal
